Stephane Lambiel Retires

Stephane Lambiel retired from competitive figure skating today. The two-time world champion has been plagued by a hip injury which has now forced him to retire. The 23-year old Swiss who finished fifth in this year's World Championship said, "I have made a good choice and made my health my priority. Now I'm going to turn the page."

It seems like quite a few competitors have hung up their skates in the run up to this year's season...more on that in the coming days. For now, good luck Stephane!
