Russian Pair Tops Skate Canada; Americans Get the Ice Dance Gold

Russia's Alexander Smirnov and Yuko Kawaguchi took the gold at Skate Canada on with a 176.97. Canadian's Jessica Dube and Bryce Davison were thisclose in second with a 176.54, according to CBC. American Champions Keauna McLaughlin and Rockne Brubaker were a far third with 161.51.

American's Meryl Davis and Charlie White were the winners in the Ice Dance; they left the competition way behind with a 178.89. Canadians Vanessa Crone and Paul Poirier snagged the silver with a 162.13, leaving the bronze for France's Nathalie Pechalat and Fabian Bourzat with a 159.06.
