Asada Wins Third National Championship, Dice-K Leaves Hospital

Mao Asada won her third Japanese figure skating championship in a row last week. According to the Japan Times, Asada was in second in both the short and the free but was able to capture the crown. Yukari Nakano was first after the short but fell to fifth on what must have been a devastating free skate. Fumie Suguri won the free skate and was second, while Miki Ando placed third.

Nobunari Oda won his first men's title. Daisuke Takahashi did not compete; he was released from the hospital last week.
