Congrats to Michelle Kwan!

Nine-time U.S. National Champion and five-time world champion Michelle Kwan will be graduating from the University of Denver this weekend, according to USA Today. She is receiving a bachelors degree in international studies with a minor in political science.

"Education is very important to me, and this year I have decided to put college first," she said in September 2006, announcing she would become a full-time student but continue to skate in exhibitions. She said at the time she would evaluate her options the following year, including whether to return to competitive skating.

It's great that she went back to school, and I love the exposure she brings to international relations with her work as an envoy for the U.S. government. Congratulations to Michelle!
