The Best Kind of Skating...

is skating for a good cause! Skate for the Heart takes place tomorrow at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. It raises money for the American Heart Association. The lineup includes skaters Evan Lysacek, Belbin and Agosto, Alissa Czisny, Mirai Nagasu, Sasha Cohen, and others. It will be aired on television in January 2010.

There is also the Michael Weiss Foundation show, Ice Champions LIVE!, which takes place at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, VA next weekend. I am so sad I will be out of town on business! The show features Brian Boitano, Todd Eldredge, Ilia Kulik, and others. It raises money for the Michael Weiss Foundation, which provides monetary aid to promising young skaters.

Both sound like great shows for great causes! Enjoy.
