Rachael Flatt's Science Project

U.S. National Silver Medalist Rachael Flatt will be featured in a series of videos that show how athletes are successful. The videos are being produced by NBC and the National Science Foundation, according to the New York Times. Here is some more information:

"We are hoping we create a spark in places that will help people see how science makes a difference," said John Nesbit, the N.S.F. director of legislative and public affairs. "Maybe a kid, who otherwise did not think science is cool, will see how it works with the Olympics and then go back to the classroom with a different point of view.

The first installment airs today on NBC's Today Show, but the videos can also be found at NBColympics.com/science.
