Olympic Men's Team Named
From @icenetwork: Johnny Weir, Evan Lysacek, and Jeremy Abbott have officially been named to the U.S. Olympic team!!! Congratulations - we have two returning Olympians (Weir and Lysacek) and one newbie (Abbott). Abbott certainly skated like an Olympian today!

huzzah for skating
last night was the first time in a long time that i have watched a skating competition, and until now, i mainly focused on the artistic abilities. but i forgot how phsyically strong figure skaters are as well. evan lysacek is definitely an example of that – he is pristine and focused in his movements, and i enjoyed watching him even though he didn’t exactly nail his performance. kudos especially to j abbott – what a win! reminds me of sarah hughes when she won the gold at the olympics – the way they annihilated their jumps seems like the type of execution every skater would dream of doing.
One can not overlook how incredibly gutsy Bradley’s long was. I thought it was phenomenal. If I were the coach, I’d rather have a skater who is a risk taker and executes under pressure than one who is too measured. Congrats to those named to the Olympic team, but Through My Eyes… I would have picked a different team.
Bradley
I agree – with the focus on moving forward with the team that was named and the three medalists, it is too easy to forget about that performance by Ryan Bradley. I think that was only the second time he landed two quads in the free skate, which is an amazing feat. He’s such a fun skater and I would love to at least see him in some skating shows in the future.
