Stephane Lambiel Joins "Thin Ice" on ABC

"Thin Ice" is a professional skating competition that will air on ABC on March 19 and 21.  Judgment on the winner will be split between viewer votes and a panel of judges that includes Dick Button and Kristi Yamaguchi.  The hosts are Kurt Browning and Elisabeth Hasselbeck, with her dulcet tones.  But, the show just got a little bit more exciting because Stephane Lambiel will compete, according to UPI

The rest of the competitors are:  Jamie Sale, Patrice Lauzon, Shizuka Arakawa, Shae-Lynn Bourne, David Pelletier, John Zimmerman, Michael Weiss, Elena Berezhnaya and Marie-France Dubreuil.

I'm a bit confused how this works since we've got ice dancers and men and women and pairs (one seemingly without a partner)...but you know I will be recapping it when it comes on.

I guess this means that Lambiel has chosen not to compete at the world championships?  If anyone know for sure, please let me know.  Lambiel's web site confirms that he is not competing at worlds this season.
