Meissner Out of Nationals

As you no doubt know by now, Kimmie Meissner has withdrawn from the U.S. National Figure Skating Championships with a hip flexor injury suffered after running on a treadmill (and then reinjured during nationals practice). This is a terrible blow for the former world champion; I was hoping she could somehow bust out of whatever has been holding her back the past few years and show that she's still a presence in skating, which she hasn't done thus far this season. I am also especially sympathetic because I have suffered many a treadmill injury myself. But I digress. I don't think Meissner has a chance of competing at worlds even if she's well - there's no reason to believe she could get petitioned onto the team at this point even if she tried (and I have seen no indication that she's trying).
