South Korea's Yu-na Kim is in first after the ladies short program at the World Figure Skating championships. Unsurprisingly, she once again broke a record, posting the best ever short program score for a woman at 76.12. She was 8.2 points ahead of Canadian Joannie Rochette, who holds second place. Defending Champ Mao Asada of Japan is third (I believe she was downgraded on her lutz), while Japan's Miki Ando (2007 World Champion) is fourth.
Unfortunately, things are not looking good for the Americans. Rachael Flatt is in 7th, while Alissa Czisny is in a very dismal 14th. She fell on a double axel. yikes.
