Jennifer Kirk blogs at True/Slant about the Golden West competition, which many Olympic contenders are competing in this weekend. In the pair division, it seems that Inoue and Baldwin got the win, although they'll need some more difficulty in order to be competitive this season. And new pair Trent and Baldwin came in second.
In the men's section, Kirk was particularly impressed with Jeremy Ten, who placed third. Douglas Razzano and Kevin Reynolds placed one and two.
Caroline Zhang, Mirai Nagasu and Rachael Flatt were expected to skate on the ladies side last night. If anyone has any results, please comment! Some forums are stating that the standings are Flatt, Nagasu, and Zhang (so far), but I haven't confirmed elsewhere.
