Sasha Cohen Out of Grand Prix Event

Wow, bad week for U.S. female Olympic contenders. Sasha Cohen has withdrawn from her first Grand Prix, Trohpee Eric Bompard, due to tendinitis in her calf, according to the Associated Press. The article says Cohen believes she'll be able to skate at her second planned Grand Prix, Skate America, in November.

It's very important for Cohen to get some experience in front of international judges and the Grand Prix events are her way to do that before the Olympic team is selected. I hope she'll be better in time for us to see her in competitive form before nationals.
