Here are the short program results for pairs and men's short programs at Skate America.
Men
Some amazing performances by America's Evan Lysacek and France's Florent Amodio (exquisite footwork!). But some cause for concern as Lysacek was dinged with a triple axel downgrade. A better showing by America's Brandon Mroz but there was a lot of room for improvement on his jump landings. And a complete meltdown by Czech Republic's Tomas Verner after he fell on his quadruple at the top.

Pairs
Another superb performance by China's Shen and Zhao. And a whole lot of mistakes from all of the other pairs, including a very disappointing performance (and lack of focus?) by China's Zhang and Zhang.
