So, this is kind of a big deal. Faiella and Scali of Italy, who could not win anything earlier in the season, beat Russia's Domnina and Shabalin in both the Original Dance and Free Skate at the European championships. Of course, they still lost, due to the Russians' ginormous compulsory dance lead. So, are the Russians beatable? I personally hope that these signs mean that they are, as they are not my personal taste. But this is still a victory for them, and they still won by a few points overall. Faiella and Scali had to settle for second, while Russia's Khokhlova and Novitski snuck in for the bronze.
