The Japanese Nationals wrapped up. On the men's side, not a big surprise that Takahiko Kozuka won his first national championships, trailed by Nobunari Oda and reigning world champ Daisuke Takahashi. Those are the three who will also compete at the world championships in Tokyo in March.
In ladies, the big news, as reported by Bangkok Post, is that Mao Asada has also made the world team, although she placed a distant second to Miki Ando overall despite leading after the short program. Kanako Murakami won the bronze medal and those three will head to worlds, leaving out Akiko Suzuki who came in fourth.
Takahashi and Tran won in the pairs event and the Reeds won the dance.
