A reminder that the Olympic pairs skating event begins tonight with the pairs short program.  The pairs will be broadcast "live" on NBC starting at 7pm Eastern.  West coasters will be on tape delay.

Reigning Olympic bronze medalists and gold medal favorites from China (pictured above) drew the absolute first slot for tonight's short program.  American pair Denney and Barrett will skate fourth, and teammates Evora and Ladwig will skate eighth.  European champs Kavaguti and Smirnov of Russia will skate 16th.  A bunch of medal contenders make up the final group (China's Pang and Tong, Zhang and Zhang, Canada's Dube and Davison, and reigning world champs from Germany Savchenko and Szolkowy, who will skate last).

Please be sure to check out our Olympic pairs preview and a look at the U.S. pairs, as well as our viewing game.
