Mao Asada was able to hold on for the win today, and she really gave the best performance of the competition. She only received credit for one triple axel, but it was great. Yu-na Kim was plagued by some errors again today, including a fall and a popped jump, but she actually won the free skate and the silver medal.
The American ladies both had disappointing free skates. Rachael Flatt made uncharacteristic errors and Mirai Nagasu appeared to crumble a bit under the pressure of being in the lead after the short. Unfortunately, the upshot of that is that USA will only have two spots at next year's world championships.
