Nebelhorn Trophy Starts Today

The international skating season essentially begins this week with Germany's Nebelhorn Trophy.  Here is an article from Universal Sports on some athletes they are interested in.  Included are Michal Brezina of the Czech Republic, who is doubling up on quads in the short and long programs, and Meaghan Duhamel, who is skating with new partner Eric Radford.

World junior champ Kanako Murakami was set to make her senior debut here, but it has been postponed due to skate problems.  Instead you can keep an eye on Finland's Kiira Korpi and America's Melissa Bulanhaghui.  In the ice dance portion, Nathalie Pechalat and Fabian Bourzat of France will be trying to assert themselves as true competitors for Virtue and Moir and Davis and White this season. Maia and Alex Shibutani will represent the U.S. along with Lynn Kriengkrairut and Logan Giulietti-Schmitt.

America is entering Armin Mahbanoozadeh in the men's competition, and Felicia Zhang and Taylor Toth and Gretchen Donlan and Andrew Speroff in pairs, making their senior international debuts.
