World Championships Update: Pairs

New, 5 comments

I am utterly shocked to find out that China's Pang and Tong have edged out the powerhouse Savchenko and Szolkowy of Germany for first place in the pairs competition after the short program.  Did not see that one coming!  In third place is new Russian pair Volosozhar and Trankov.  In other news, Eric Radford broke his nose mid progarm after being hit by partner Meagan Duhamel's elbow.  And he continued skating!  Despite the broken nose, the pair sits ahead of both American teams.
