Amanda Evora and Mark Ladwig, two-time Nationals runners up, have made news by not splitting up their pair and by not retiring. I guess that goes against recent trends.
Bradenton.com reports that the Olympians will compete in the 2011-12 season. The two took time off to reassess whether they wanted to continue, and they came to the decision to keep going, aim for a national title, and stay with coach Jim Peterson.
I think Evora and Ladwig have an obvious shot at a national title this season but they were a bit of a disappointment last season, which culminated in an 11th place finish at worlds. Hopefully they'll have more success this year.
