World Championships Update: Ladies Short Program

New, 1 comment

Wow. So...if you want these results (and you may not) find them after the jump.

Here are the things I am upset about right now. I am upset that the American ladies put together a pair of disastrous programs at the world championships when both were not only legitimate medal threats, but the combination of the two were surely a safe bet to regain that third slot for the Americans at next year's worlds. Where is Rachael Flatt when you need her? (HAHHA JK!). I am upset that not one of the the elegant and artistic skaters could pull it together, so now we have Alena Leonova and Kanako Murakami at the top of the board. I love both, I think they're enchanting and impressive jumpers. But I would rather see more of a full package up there. I am also upset because I'm tired of watching Mao Asada screw up triple axels (she fell on hers today). Give it up, Mao. Do a triple/triple for crying out loud. Ok, now I will stop whining.
